Final 17 – Day 17 – Art Pendants with Glass

Welcome to the final day of 2017.  My challenge is complete.  I posted a new tutorial video every day for the final 17 days of the year.  It was quite a challenge but has set us up beautifully to enter 2018 in the studio.  Now there are more than a dozen projects ready and waiting for you in our Maker space downstairs at A Work of Heart.  All of the projects can be done during self guided studio time.  You have access to all the tools and supplies you need to complete them for a minimal materials fee.

Today’s project is how to create an art pendant covered with glass.

The ETSY listing will be coming a bit later when I can add photos of the resin covered pendants that I will be offering.  Here is the image sheet that will be available to pick from.

Final 17 – Day 14 – Painted Chipboard Banner with Paper Rosettes

Today’s tutorial features a highly under utilized tool I have in the studio.  “12” letter dies that will cut out cardboard, canvas, tissue, cardstock and everything in between.  They are easy to alter and string together to make a banner for celebrating any occasion.

I have kits of chipboard letters in the ETSY shop here.

Final 17 – Day 13 – Abstract Mini Cards

Final 17 – Day 13 – Abstract Mini Cards

Here is another approach to getting an abstract background on an ATC (Artist Trading Card)  This is one of my favorite ways to start an acrylic background when I’m planning to layer a lot.

If you are in the San Francisco Bay area, this is actually tonight’s workshop called “Truth Cards” and space is still available.  Click Here. Or next Tuesday evening (Jan 2) here

If you want to purchase a kit of the blank cards click here.

If you are interested in a 60 page art journal with pages started like this click here.

Final 17 – Day 12 – Abstract Watercolor Cards

Today’s tutorial is one of my very favorite things to do.  Abstract watercolor is essentially doodling with watercolor and a brush.

I show you 4 different types of watercolors and demonstrate how to use each of them.

A kit is all set up for you in my ETSY shop as well.  Here is a watercolor starter kit and here is a kit containing the cards with a handy little box to contain them.
