Mom’s Night Out!

The Willow Glen 09 Las Madres group came and cropped tonight.  What fun!  Lot’s of awesome scrapbook pages were created.

 

 

I look forward to having these ladies come and crop on the second Monday night each month.

Monday Oct 12 – Traci Bautista in the house…

Traci will be here from 4:30-7pm on Monday, October 12th. She is going to be hanging out, visiting and painting. Stop by to say hi! Our Free Monday Make & Take (from 3p-7p) will be painting a piece of paper and folding it into a darling mini book. Want to sit and paint for a while? Use some studio time to paint with Traci. Tuesday 7:30p: Printmaking+Mixed Media – Gelatin Monoprints

We had a great time last week with basic monoprints, this week we’re kicking it up a notch. Mark your calendar for Dorit Elisha’s all day workshop on November 1st. Click here for more info.

Wednesday 10am-2pm: Craft Rave Daytime

Come and spend some time working on whatever project you like. This is self-directed studio time but I’ll be here to help you with any questions you have.

Wednesday 6p: Copper Pumpkin
This makes an awesome holiday decoration for your front door or inside your house. The finished piece measures 12×18. Add your choice of patina finishes. I’ll show you how to use all the 10 Seconds Studio texture tools and plates. You will mount the textured copper piece on to a pre-cut pumpkin shaped board. Add a copper wire hanger and voila! Fall art.

Wednesday 7:30p: Scrapbook Studio
Gwen and I are getting lonely, don’t you want to join us and get some scrapbooking done? Is this not enough time for you? Come as early as you like and simply pay the hourly studio fee. Last week we broke out of the box and painted some scrapbook paper. Check out the results…

Thursday 6p:  Charm School – Soldered Charms
This is our basic soldering class but focusing on making charms.  Come and learn a new skill, or improve your soldering techniques.

Thursday 7:30p:  Image Transfer to Polymer Clay
We’re making polymer clay pendants & tiles with images transfered to the surface.

Friday 6p:  Prayer or Wish Journal
Pick out pretty papers, die cut (on our machine) your pages, assemble and you have an 8 tabbed journal for yourself or for a gift.  This is a quick and easy project.  You may want more than one!

Sunday 12p:  Make it Your Style Purse
Linda Lubovich teaches you to make this darling purse.

Sunday 3-5p: FREE Kid’s Mask Making workshop
Dori Duncan, Camp Fashionista, will be on-site offering a free mask making workshop for kids (or kids at heart)

Monday 3pm-7pm Drop in FREE Make & Take: Shrink Plastic Charms were such fun in “Charm School” on Thursday night, I’m bringing out the plastic and we’ll play some more. Punch, color, stamp and shrink…these beauties are perfect for adding to cards, gift wrapping, jewelry and more.

Tuesday is the first session of our Fall Kid’s Club. This week kids ages 8 and up will decoupage a wooden letter. After the surface is covered, they will embellish till their heart is content..Click here to register your artist in this session

Tuesday at 6pm is one of my favorite classes. Mini Watercolor Journals. The folding technique is what this one is all about. Once you get it down, you’re hooked! Wednesday 6-9pm: This tree gets so much attention..it really doesn’t photograph well though. Trust me when I say, you want to make this tree and take it home with you. It is the perfect thing to hang just about any treasure on. Jewelry, charms, ornaments…or just leave it barren and enjoy its natural beauty. Tis the season for the Copper Tree…click here to register. Wednesday 7:30-9pm is all about Scrapbooking! Scrapbook Studio is a time to come and get some serious scrapping done. Learn something new, or just come and crop. All supplies are included. Charm School continues on Thursday at 6pm. This week we are filling charms with epoxy resin. Feel free to come armed with mini collage bits or dig into our bins of collage fodder to make them while you are here…or you can even simply take pretty paper and glue it down. The highlight of the class is mixing the two-part epoxy resin and pouring it over the images. You’ll want to leave them at least overnight in the studio to cure. The finished result is a glass like surface that magnifies whatever image is below. Click here to register for this session

Thursday 7:30-9pm: This is week two of Mixed Media Mosaics. No fear though, you can still join us and make some incredible tiles for future projects. This week we are making hand rolled tiles with white polymer clay. We are adding score marks to the clay before baking so there will be “coloring lines” to paint on later. Come empty handed, leave with tons of handmade tiles! Click here to register.

How did it get to be May 13?

I’ve been a bad blogger!  I admit it!

You can correctly assume that means I’ve been super busy in the studio.

This month I’m trying something new.  Since the book club format has been so successful for the past 4 months I’ve added a book to Wednesday nights as well.  It is working out splendidly.  It is nice focusing on Scrapbooking one night a week.  I’ve missed it.  Scrapbooking was my first love at the very beginning of this business nearly 11 years ago.  While I’ve jumped out of that box and played with wild and reckless abandon, I still love designing pages with photos.

What I’m super excited about at this very moment is the fact that TEESHA MOORE!!  is coming in less than 48 hours!  Can’t believe how lucky we are to have her coming here to teach.  She is a major art idol for me and I hope I don’t totally geek out when I get to meet her!
