| Description | In this class you will create a one of a kind fabric book. After choosing your preferred structure you will collage, paint, stitch and embellish your pages and will leave with a unique and personal fabric book.
Bring the following materials OR order a class kit for $15 that will include the following.. Here is a little bit about Dorit: During the years I tried my hands on clay, jewelry, quilting, doll making, graphic design, printmaking, collage and bookmaking. I love to combine many of these when I create my mixed media works of art. I love scavenging for my materials in the flea markets and second hand stores. I find it much more creative and challenging to use existing items (aka “found objects”) and giving them a new life, not to mention the benefit of keeping the earth clean. My inspiration comes from what I see in my everyday life: A piece of textured fabric, a picture in a magazine, my family, the city landscape and nature. All of those are put together in a very intuitive and spontaneous way into my mixed media art. Dorit has published 2 books: “Printmaking+Mixed Media” and “Dorit Elisha – Mixed Media” **Note**We provide sewing machine(s) if you need them…bring your own if you prefer.
